Today, 9 May, is Lost Socks Day; yes, you read that right. Every day in the calendar has one or more significant days. They commemorate historical events, memorable places, illnesses, important people... In this eagerness to celebrate everything, there is no lack of imagination and there is also room for weirder, funnier or geekier things; call it what you like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The truth be told, it's funny how much of a headache it is to notice that we have a mismatched sock. Days go by with the illusion that it will come after the next wash, that the broom will rescue it from under the bed or that the hoover will return it to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lonely sock is taking up an increasingly backward place in our drawer and yet we are still reluctant to get rid of it. Did the washing machine hijack it? Did a bed catch it? Did it get lost the day we slept away from home? Was it left behind in the gym changing rooms?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will have to give up and put an end to this useless hope. Take advantage of this day of the lost sock to renew your wardrobe and buy new socks, and if they are from Pradoluengo, even better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello traper@s! Hoy 9 de mayo se celebra el D\u00eda de los Calcetines Perdidos; s\u00ed, has le\u00eddo bien. Todos los d\u00edas del calendario tienen uno o m\u00e1s d\u00edas significativos. Conmemoran hechos hist\u00f3ricos, lugares memorables, enfermedades, personas importantes… Ante este af\u00e1n de celebrarlo todo, no falta imaginaci\u00f3n y tambi\u00e9n hay cabida para cosas m\u00e1s raras, graciosas o frikis; ll\u00e1malo como te apetezca. La verdad sea dicha que es muy curioso los quebraderos de cabeza que nos produce observar que tenemos un calcet\u00edn desparejado. Pasan los d\u00edas conservando la ilusi\u00f3n de que vendr\u00e1 tras la siguiente colada, de que la escoba lo rescate de debajo de una cama o de que nos lo devuelva el aspirador. El calcet\u00edn solitario va ocupando un lugar cada vez m\u00e1s retrasado en nuestro caj\u00f3n y, sin embargo, seguimos resisti\u00e9ndonos a deshacernos de \u00e9l. \u00bfLo secuestr\u00f3 la lavadora? \u00bfLo atrap\u00f3 una cama? \u00bfSe perdi\u00f3 el d\u00eda que dormimos fuera de casa? \u00bfQued\u00f3 abandonado en los vestuarios del gimnasio? Habr\u00e1 que desistir y poner fin a esta in\u00fatil esperanza.
